- Yes, filter by source country (where the news was published) or mentioned locations (places referenced in articles). Use country codes or region names. The API identifies cities, states, and countries mentioned in article text so you can filter by location.
- Specify date ranges with published_at.min and published_at.max parameters. Use ISO 8601 format for precise timestamps. Filter for today's news, last week, specific months, or any custom date range. Useful for historical research, trend analysis, and real-time monitoring.
- Filter by broad categories (business, technology, politics, sports, entertainment, science, health) or specific topics (artificial-intelligence, cryptocurrency, climate-change). Articles are automatically tagged, so you can find content without guessing keywords.
- Use source.rank.opr (Open Page Rank) to filter by source authority. OPR scores range from 0-10, with higher scores indicating more established, credible publications. Filter for authoritative sources only (OPR 6+) or include a broader range. Combine with source.country for regional quality filtering.
- Yes, the API identifies organizations, people, brands, and locations mentioned in articles. Filter by specific names or search these fields. Track coverage of specific companies, monitor executive mentions, or follow news about particular individuals.

Sophisticated News Search and Search Filters API.
APITube offers 65+ search filters in order to retrieve the accurate news information by 300,000 sources. Keywords, date, source, language, country, topic, sentiment and entity mention query.
Complex queries are supported using the use of the Boolean operators. Date filtering allows a day level precision of historical research. Filtering by source or filtering by quality outlets can be used to exclude low-quality sources. Result localization is done by language and country filters.
Comprehensive filtering decreases overheads in the post-processing of news applications to developers of news applications. Ask of articles only those which are relevant, rather than thin them on the client side. Pagination works with big sets of results.
Combination of all filters occurs within one API. Outputs comprise full contents of the article, metadata and NLP enhancement. Filter syntax, query optimization and pagination are also documented.
